Operations Manager (2009 – present)
Responsible for a budget in excess of $8 million, over 200 FTE's, and nine member department management team at Advocate Christ Hospital and Medical Center. Manage the recruitment process, evaluate and discipline environmental services employees. Responsible for work force planning, QA training and administrative functions for designated area. Provide employees timely, candid and constructive feedback; train and develop employees on technical environmental services skill sets and capabilities to maximize their potential. Provide hands-on coordination with department activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities and directing work of environmental services personnel and outside providers. Selected accomplishments include:

• Wrote Environmental Services policies, procedures and job descriptions to accurately reflect the department’s responsibilities and manner in which service is delivered.
• Eliminated the use of contract agency staff by creating a registry pool of associates to fill in while other staff members were on vacation or ill.
• Initiated process to include cleanliness and courtesy questions in discharge telephone calls to patients.
• Significantly increased associate engagement scores from the 5th%tile to 93th %tile.

Human Resources Partner (2006 - 2009)
Managed and administered a full range of human resource services to approximately 3,000 staff members including, but not limited to, employee relations, HR policy and procedures, leadership assessment and development, compensation, leadership training and development, and strategic planning.
