 Evaluate and promote safety and health of approximately 5,500 employees of NASA, Contractors, Resident Agencies, and Military on Site.
 Develop and Manage day to day personnel functions of the occupational health program staff such as orientation, evaluation, training, and education programs and compliance to personnel policies and practices. Maintain records of continuing education, certifications, etc. and assure recertifications are required for contract and regulatory compliance.
 Develop nursing policies and procedures, assuring compliance with OSHA, Military Sealift Command, and NASA regulations and requirements, and approve changes in procedures and protocols.
 Perform manual and automated reporting duties.
 Manage occupation injury/illness cases. Coordinate referred medical care. Coordinate with Safety and/or Industrial Hygiene to evaluate work area and work hazards to reduce hazards and promote employee safety and health.
 Manage 1.6M budget. Monitor supplies and approve supply orders. Supervise inventory control of medical consumables and pharmaceuticals.
