Duties included performing venipunctures on 20-40 patients per day, processing of the specimens, performing hematology, chemistry and immunoassay testing under the supervision of the clinical laboratory scientist, functioning as a trauma team member, delivering units of blood to the emergency room, type and cross matching trauma patients, starting intravenous access lines, performing CPR, assisting the emergency room physician with insertion of femoral and central lines in patients with poor venous access.

Bryman College- Winnetka, Ca - Medical Assistant Instructor

Duties included teaching all aspects of medical assisting, phlebotomy, surgical assisting, massage therapy and laboratory procedures to two classes of 30 medical assistant students. Medical terminology and anatomy and physiology were also a large portion of the program. Upon completion of the 12 month didactic program taught to my students, I was then responsible for following their progress through their externship programs, giving weekly evaluations of their performance and working one on one with individual students who needed additional assistance or training in any of the curriculum.
