In my role, I establish quality customer service with patients in a high volume environment. I administer injections via IM, SC, ID. Administer O2 via nasal cannula, simple face mask and non re-breather mask, peak flow teaching, as well as nebulizer treatments. Obtain medical history from patients. Perform EKGs. TB test and reading. IV insertion. Set up patient and work compensation referrals and specialist referrals. Verify patient response to medication/treatment, both therapeutic and/or adverse effects. Call in report for patients being transferred to hospitals by EMS or private vehicle. Check and log drugs and supplies, oxygen tanks, AED. Audit patient charts. Perform wound care.
