OBJECTIVE:
I currently have my Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration and I also received my Bachelor’s of Arts Degree from the University of California, Riverside. My current position at Kaiser is temporary for 90 days. Therefore, my goal is to obtain a permanent position to better utilize my skills and to gain further experience. I am also willing to relocate.

EXPERIENCE:
January 28, 2013- April 26, 2013 Kaiser Permanente South San Francisco, CA Administrative (Temporary 90 Days)
I provided administrative support to the department heads and surgeons for Outpatient Surgical Services, which included General Surgery, Bariatrics, Orthopedics, Urology, Minor Injury Clinic, and Head & Neck Surgery, under limited supervision. I gained experience in coordination and providing support to large complex projects. Moreover, I orchestrated and organized meetings, conferences, schedules, travel, and materials such as agendas, timelines, reports and presentations. Additionally, I created and reviewed the 2013 Policies and Procedures for various departments. I also managed inquiries and directed them to the appropriate parties and managed multiple calendars. Additionally, I demonstrated excellent customer service skills with patients, attended and completed minutes for meetings, helped to develop solutions to complex problems, and used Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access functions as needed. Moreover, I assisted in coordinating the management of ordering office supplies within the department and managed the vacation calendar. Lastly, I organized and expedited the flow of work for the department manager’s office and the department in accordance to the manager’s method of operation.

Chronic Conditions Management, Program Assistant(Temporary 90 Days)
I worked under the direction of the CCM Manager, physicians and care managers to support the delivery and daily operations of CCM Population and care/case management programs. The support included, but was not limited to, clerical duties and managing office logistics. I also supported the PHASE program by doing chart reviews to outreach to the diabetic and hypertension population, to get PCP appointments and labs completed. I tracked all these patients in a data sheet to reach the Quality Chasm and medical center target goals for our program. Additionally, I confirmed schedules with providers and provided reminder calls/letters to patients using HealthConnect, Mainframe and eConsult. Moreover, I facilitated communication with the members, primary care team staff, and other departments and services. I also processed & maintained databases and maintained program resources. Lastly, I contacted patients by phone, secure messages, or letters at direction of the care managers for follow-ups. Upon program completion, I placed the patients on the booking list for routine follow-up appointments with their primary care MD/NP per medical center policy.

Office Manager/Intake Coordinator
I served as an Office Manager for a 28 day Crisis Residential facility for dual diagnosed patients. As a manager, I provided administrative assistant support for the program director/clinical team, and I also followed proper procedures for completing records requests, preparing for both internal and external audits, and tracking pharmacy orders. Additionally, I coordinated facilities maintenance, monitored and organized supplies, oversaw repair and maintenance of office equipment. I also monitored program expenses and interfaced with the Business Office Manager to ensure that administrative documentation in client charts were complete, current and maintained in accordance with Agency standards, licensing and applicable state and federal laws. Moreover, I conducted payroll and scheduling for staff as well as developed and maintained office manager skills through seminars, workshops, or other forms of training/education. I also ensured that proper procedures were followed and that deadlines were met for data entry: intake/administrative documentation, financial screening, chart maintenance, outcomes, measurement documentation, Insurance eligibility verification, PATS, and Coordinated Service Tracking. Additionally, I gathered data and reconciled various required monthly reports. I interned with the Associate Director to oversee the Cardiac Surgery department and I worked with the quality department to gain knowledge of improvement and prevention processes. I gained experience implementing and revising the Policies and Procedures for Cardiac Surgery at Los Angeles Medical Center and also for the satellite hospital. Additionally, after doing an impressive job, the Administrator for the Cardiology department also had me complete the 2012 Policies and Procedures for the Cardiology department as well. I also gained experience in, Project Management, Electronic Medical Records, and Patient/Staff Scheduling. Additionally, I worked with Assistant DA and managed the attendance calendar, monitored staff attendance trends quarterly, ordered supplies for the department. Moreover, I planned and scheduled departmental meetings in the conference room for the physicians and I was also in charge of planning and coordinating events like the annual American Heart Walk event for the whole Los Angeles Medical Center, Administrative Assistant Appreciation Day for the staff, the Annual Christmas event, and Nurses Day. I worked with the Patient Care Coordinator to create pathway plans and educational books for the patients and nursing staff pertaining to surgical care. Additionally, I worked with the quality department to track quality issues, trends, and improvement processes and I attended meetings with the Chief of Service and physicians to discuss quarterly quality issues. Next, I worked on payroll and was very involved in departmental meetings with administrators to improve quality of care through process improvement. Moreover, I worked with entering and reporting data for national organizations like the STS and OSHPD, and gained more knowledge of JCAHO and other accreditation agencies. Finally, I worked on special projects for managers with research, analyzing data and producing reports for the department to improve patient care and reduce readmission rates.
